According to the Baiyun Station of Guangzhou General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, since the visa-free entry policy in place for holders of ordinary passports from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia on December 1st, 2023, the number of people benefiting from this policy at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has significantly increased.
First international highway entry channel in GBA opens
The first TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers or International Road Transport) international highway entry channel in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) was opened on January 3rd. A truck from Uzbekistan arrived at Foshan International Land Port and passed the clearance inspection by Guangzhou Customs.
First China-Europe freight train of 2024 in GBA sets off from Guangzhou International Port
Departing from Guangzhou International Port on January 1, 2024, Train X8426, laden with goods made in Guangzhou, such as household appliances, toys, and clothing, will arrive in the European market in 15 days. It is the first China-Europe freight train setting off from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) in 2024.
New international general dock starts construction in GZ's Nansha Port
A total investment of about 7.5 billion yuan has set the stage for a new dock in Nansha Port. The Guangzhou Port Nansha Port International General Dock Project, a key construction project sponsored by the Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, officially commenced recently.
