Guangdong agricultural drones win over global farmers at only 1% of operational costs

Once underestimated and now trusted by farmers worldwide, Guangdong-made agricultural drones are reshaping farming overseas.

On June 29, during the "Vibrant China Research Tour" in Guangdong, media reporters visited XAG Technology in Guangzhou to explore how smart drone technology, powered by AI and autonomous systems, helps farmers improve efficiency and cut costs. With innovation and practical value, these drones are gaining recognition among users worldwide.

Guangdong is accelerating the development of emerging and future industries, including artificial intelligence, robotics, and the low-altitude economy. The province's drone output rose by 39%, accounting for more than 90% of China's total output. Companies such as DJI and XAG have expanded rapidly in the low-altitude sector, helping China's consumer and industrial drones capture about 70% and 40% of global market shares, respectively.
