Bringing sensibility of artists to the world is very powerful: Head of architecture at Royal Academy of Arts

"For an art museum to host a design event that also includes architecture and public space is really fantastic," Vicky Richardson, head of architecture at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, UK, shared her feelings about the Guangzhou Design Triennial 2024. "Because I think we can bring the sensibility of artists to the world around us, and that's very powerful."

The Guangzhou Design Triennial 2024, with the theme of "Warm-beings," is currently underway at the Guangdong Museum of Art (GDMoA) in Guangzhou. Richardson is one of the curators of the Triennial's theme exhibition.

"It's very exciting to be here and be a part of this, especially when it's such a new thing," Richardson added, "It's an experiment that everyone is learning from, and I've learned a huge amount from curating an exhibition here."
