Today (September 7th) marks the beginning of White Dew.
The White Dew (Chinese:白露) is the 15th solar term of the year and the third one of autumn. Every year, when the sun reaches 165° celestial longitude, around September 8th, the White Dew period starts. In many cities, scorching heat has gone. However, in Guangzhou, the temperature is still high.
Around this solar term, the temperature difference between day and night can reach over 10℃.. In the morning, dew drops can be seen on plants. For farmers, the White Dew signals the start of the autumn harvest. We wish everyone joy and happiness in this period.
