Recently, the National Immigration Administration has decided to fully implement the policy of visa-free entry for foreign tour groups on cruise ships in China's coastal provinces starting from May 15th.
With the boom in international cruise ships, coupled with the policy of visa-free entry for cruise ships, the future increase in international routes, as well as the expected growth of foreign inbound tourists, allows visiting ports to usher in great potential for growth in cruise tourism consumption. Guangdong's two major cruise homeports are working hard to seize the opportunity.
The cruise industry economy includes not only the leisure and entertainment consumption of cruise tourists on board, but also the onshore consumption of cruise tourists and cruise crew. Additionally, for the city where the home port is located, how to attract foreign tourists to go ashore for sightseeing and consumption when the cruise ship enters the country is key.
