Yuhu Cold Chain COO: improved efficiency attracts foreign companies to Guangzhou

On Jan. 28, the first working day of the Year of Rabbit, Guangdong holds the provincial high-quality development meeting.

The meeting sees participation of 1,000 persons offline and 25,000 persons online, including representatives from over 500 enterprises.

Meng Fanwu, Chief Operating Officer of Yuhu Cold Chain and Chairman of Guangzhou Company, told GDToday reporter on the meeting that high-quality development plays a huge role in the economy of the entire Guangdong Province, and companies should make good use of international resource to introduce high-quality international goods to markets in China.

The Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Center in Huadu, Guangzhou will be officially put into operation in August this year. The main business of the domestic and international enterprises that will settle in the industrial park would be importing and exporting frozen product. Meng Fanwu pointed out: "Compared with traditional agricultural wholesale market, the industrial park has greatly improved transaction efficiency and logistics efficiency with digital means and high technology, thereby helping companies reduce costs. This is our key for attracting foreign businessmen from all over the world to Guangzhou."

According to Meng Fanwu, the main goal of Yuhu in the future is to shorten the supply chain of international procurement and to trim the procedures. “In the future, both trader and wholesaler can directly complete the procurement through the Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Center.”

He also add that what Yuhu wants to build is not just building one park but a nationwide trading network of frozen product, so that these imported high-quality agricultural products can to be served at dinner tables in China.
