On the morning of June 30, the Airport North Interchange at Maoming-Zhanjiang Expressway and the Airport North expressway toll station were officially put into use.

Located in the north of Zhanjiang Wuchuan Airport, the Interchange has 8 toll lanes (4 in and 4 out) and a total length of about 1.8 kilometers. It will save nearly 20 minutes' drive from downtown Wuchuan, Maoming and towns surrounding Huazhou to the Airport.

Zhanjiang Wuchuan Airport started operation on March 24, 2022. Located in Heshan Village, Tangzhui Town, Wuchuan City, the airport covers an area of 61,800 square meters. With a total of 30 aircraft parking stands, it can meet an annual passenger throughput of over 10 million and operate direct flights to Europe and the US.
Linking Zhanjiang Wuchuan Airport, Zhanjiang Airport Economic Zone, Huazhou Yangmei Industrial Park and other nearby areas, the new airport interchange, together with the newly built toll station, will meet the travel demand in western Guangdong.
As the airport stimulates the development of surrounding areas, the interchange will accelerate the building of a comprehensive regional transportation system in western Guangdong and the development of Maoming and Zhanjiang Airport Economic Zone.
