| A government delegation of Jilin province, northeast China, visited Guangdong from May 5 to 8 with an aim to enhance cooperation between the two governments and between the enterprises of the two provinces.
The Jilin delegation visited Guangzhou Science Town, and the leading telecommunication and biochemical enterprises. During the four day tour, Guangdong and Jilin signed 27 contracts with an investment of 9.1 billion RMB. And the SME authorities of both sides signed a cooperation agreement.
On May 6, Party Chief Wang Yang and Governor Huang Huahua of Guangdong province met with and the visiting Party Chief Wang Min and Governor Han Changfu of Jilin province. Wang Yang said Jilin and Guangdong respectively played very important role in the economic take-off of the Northeast and Southeast China and expected both province to enhance exchange and cooperation so as to push forward the regional strategic development of China. Wang Min hoped both sides can establish more communication mechanism and deepen cooperation.
