Last Friday, Director of Guangzhou Sports Bureau Mr. Liu Jiangnan signed a sports resources sharing agreement with Foshan city. The two cities Guangzhou and Foshan will launch the Sports IC Card, which will be convenient for inhabitants wishing to play in venues in both cities.

Guangzhou has many sports venues like Olympic Sports Center, Tianhe Sports Center, Guangzhou Gymnasium, and Guangzhou University Town Gymnasium and so on. These venues however are more fully occupied and cannot easily be booked at weekends, while sports venues in Foshan are less crowded.

Ms. Liu lives in Nanhai, Foshan city and works in Tianhe District, Guangzhou. She has to go back and forth between these two cities every day. The newly launched Sports IC Card is good news for Ms. Liu and lots of ‘city migrants’.
