The e-commerce platform of the Canton Fair officially began operations on the morning of April 15. With the Canton Fair's more than 6 million buyers over the past five decades, the platform is set to become "China's largest e-commerce platform" with "a high level of credibility". The platform removes time and geographical constraints on the Canton Fair, allowing vendors and buyers to conduct business 365 days a year rather than during the two sessions of the fair a year.

The biggest asset of the e-commerce platform is the enormous number of clients that the Canton Fair has hosted over the years. The 112 sessions of the Canton Fair over the past fifty years have received more than 6 million buyers, over 2 million of whom remain active. Each future session of the Canton Fair is expected to receive approximately 200,000 buyers, about 30% of whom will be new.

"Unlike other B2B platforms, the Canton Fair's e-commerce platform is designed to be a 'deals-oriented highly credible e-commerce platform'," said Wang Runsheng, deputy director of the Canton Fair and president of the China Foreign Trade Center.

This platform has also introduced the "Canton Fair E-commerce Traders' Credit Index" concept, which is based on integrated credit information and data from various organizations. It is a multi-dimensional credit index system that accurately reflects the credit standing of buyers and vendors.
