Guangdong Inks 9.8 Billion USD in Poland Deals

Guangdong province signed 9.85 billion USD projects with Poland and the European enterprises in Hong Kong – Guangdong Business Conference in Warsaw 2011 on October 27 (Warsaw time).

Guangdong officials signed 9.85 billion USD in projects with Poland and other European enterprises in one of the biggest economic conferences in Central Eastern Europe on October 27.

During the Hong Kong – Guangdong Business Conference in Warsaw 2011, over 2,000 senior business executives as well as representatives from the governments of Poland, Hong Kong and Guangdong met with an objective to strengthen cooperation in trade and promote business opportunities between Europe, Hong Kong and Guangdong.

Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua delivered keynote speeches during the conference saying that the cooperation between Guangdong and Poland as well as the European Union has kept good momentum in recent years, and both sides will strengthen cooperation in investment, trade, education, tourism and complete a cooperation mechanism.

The President of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, Slawomir Majman, announced the open of the conference, followed by remarks given by the Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Waldemar Pawlak, Hong Kong Chief Secretary for Administration, Stephen Lam.
