Imagine a class with students from China, Japan and Korea exchanging ideas on East Asian culture and society, using their three native languages simultaneously as they study and do internships in three counties in one term.

That’s the kind of class the faculty of Asian Languages and Cultures in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) carries out each day. The class is a joint-campus program operated by GDFS, Ritsumeikan University in Japan and Dongseo University in Korea.

Doctor Chen Duoyou, Dean of Faculty of Asian Languages and Cultures has been in charge of the joint-campus program for four years, seeing the project grow from a seed to a tree.
