Rumi, It’s Okay to Say No

2015-May-27       Source: Newsgd.com

Rumi’s loveliness is embodied in every word and deed of hers. Greeting the guests at the door, pretending to call mom from the UK, helping two-year-old kid to stand up after she fell on the floor, comforting her by touching her shoulder lightly and saying “it’s okay”, etc.

So when Rumi and her friends were scolded by her mother for being too naughty at home, she, on behalf of the girls, went to negotiate with her mother about it, and asked her mother to talk with the kids in a more gentle way. Before she went to the current kindergarten, Lin Ni was worried about that she might be affected by other kids who first attended kindergarten and had a hard time adapting while Rumi had already been to other kindergarten before, so Lin asked her what she should do if other kids cried. Rumi said, “I would comfort them by patting them on the shoulders.” Finding out that she was so sensible, Lin Ni was more than happy and encouraged her to be less sensitive and more big-hearted when facing any problems.
