Guangdong People’s Congress is going to examine the provincial government’s work report and annual budget of 2015 early next week.
The 3rd Session of the 12th Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress will be held from Feb 9 to 13 in Guangzhou.
The session is expected to see Guangdong lower its GDP growth target and continue its effort in industry transformation and upgrade. The participants are expected to have discussion on the implementation of “rule by law”.
Hu Chunhua, the secretary of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee stressed on January 15, that the province needs to insist on the principle of steady economy growth to ensure healthy social development.
In terms of the overseas attendance, the session provides 50 public seats to adults from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and overseas Chinese. People who hold those verified IDs are allowed to apply for the visitor permit. Additionally, 57 officials from 31 different embassies based in Guangdong confirmed their attendance to the session.
