The Beijing Olympic Games torch relay is now catching the world鈥檚 attention. And these over 20000 torches are all made in Xiaolan, a county in Zhongshan, Guangdong.
The production of torch was finished in February, during the snow havoc. After a 2 days and 3 nights tour, finally the first batch of 16300 torches reached Beijing Olympics Logistic Center in March 1. And the second batch, with 6000 torches, 10992 torch gas tubes and other accessories, reached Beijing in Mar 17.
About Zhongshan
Zhongshan is located in the central and southern part of the Pearl River Delta and in the western riverbank of the Pearl River. Covering an area of 1,800 square kilometers with 2,434,600 permanent residents, Zhongshan is only 110 kilometers away from Guangzhou, 180 kilometers from Hong Kong, and 60 kilometers from Macau .
