Yesterday, a total of 140 units and 329 individuals were commended by Guangdong provincial government for their efforts in snow disaster earlier this year.
The commendation meeting was presided by Governor Huang Huahua in Guangzhou.
Wang Yang, the Party secretary of Guangdong in the meeting highly praised the outstanding units and individuals and called on the people to carry on and promote the spirit showed in the battle against the snow disaster. He urged to continue the restore of snow-hit infrastructure, and enhance the economy and social development at the same time.
The Southcn.com (Chinese version of Newsgd.com) was awarded as the Guangdong鈥檚 鈥渙utstanding unit鈥 in snow disaster relief work, and Jiang Dazhi, a reporter from Southcn.com was awarded as 鈥渙utstanding individual鈥.
