The biggest construction project for Guangdong Asian Games, featuring athlete village, media village, parks and stuff community, started yesterday (Nov 26) in Panyu District, south Guangzhou. The village is expected to be put into use in August 2010, according to Nanfang Daily.
The village covers 2.73 sq.km. and will offer accommodation and working places for 14,000 athletes, 10,000 media stuffs and over 20,000 other Games stuffs.
After the 2010 Games, the village will be turned into a residential community and the apartments, ranging from 50 sq.m. to 100 sq.m., will be sold.
