The 6th China (Yangjiang) International Knives & Scissors Fair opened at the China Knives & Scissors exhibition center in Yangjiang city of Guangdong province on Wednesday (Oct.24), with 30 contract projects valued a total of 2.06 billion USD signed in the first day.

According to the organize committee, a total of 239 enterprises and 1200 exhibitors attended the fair.

Yangjiang city is located in the southwest coast of Guangdong, connecting the west wing of the province and the Pearl River Delta Area.

Yangjiang cutting tools have a long history of manufacturing and marketing, enjoy good reputation and sell well in national and international markets, with their unique and sophisticated craftsmanship, outstanding quality. Hence, three renowned enterprises in Yangjiang City have been nominated as 'the Chinese Center of Kitchen Knives', 'the Chinese Center of Scissors' and 'the Chinese Center of Pocket Knives' respectively.

Consequently, Yangjiang is the biggest manufacturing base of kitchen knives, scissors and pocket knives in China.

The 1st China (Yangjiang) International Knives & Scissors Fair was held In June 2001.
