At the opening ceremony, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Guangzhou, Ms. Yasoja Gunasekera, Canon Chief Representative of South Regional HQ, Mr. Yoshinori Tatema and Canon ICP Director, Mr. Shunichi Senda, all offered their support for the event. Ms. Yasoja Gunasekera gave an opening speech about the photo exhibition and stressed the long cooperation between the two countries, especially the recent meeting between Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa and China President Xi Jinping.
