[Shenzhen] Veteran Taiwan singers collaborate in concert (Nov 14)

Superband, a truly awesome foursome of Taiwan veteran pop singers Lo Ta-yu, Jonathan Lee, Wakin Chau and Chang Chen-yue, will hold a concert at the Shenzhen Stadium in mid-November.

Superband was formed last year. In total they have released over 70 albums in their individual careers, composed 600 songs and performed more than 350 individual concerts.

Lee is a record producer, singer, and songwriter. During the past two decades, he has composed song lyrics and melodies for numerous musical artists on the Rock Records label.

Chau is a Hong Kong-born singer popular throughout Asia. He was known as Emil Chau throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and by 2000 he had reverted to his stage name Wakin. As of August 2007, he had released more than 40 albums and held several international concert tours.

Lo is an influential Taiwanese singer-songwriter who, during the 1980s, revolutionized Chinese pop and rock music with his melodic lyrics, love songs, and witty social and political commentary. He is recognized as a major cultural icon in Taiwan.

Chang is a rock singer, songwriter, guitarist and also a dance music DJ under the stage name DJ Orange. Additionally Chang fronts his own band, Free Night, also known as Free9. In his recent EP, "Useless Guy", Chang crossed over into hip-hop music in a collaboration with rapper MC HotDog in the song "I Need Money". Chang is also an actor who has appeared in a number of romantic comedies. His 1998 film "Connection by Fate", directed by Wan Jen, was shown at the Venice Film Festival.
