Classical music encounters GBA's landmarks

Recently, the melodies of classical music resonated at several landmarks in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), such as the Cantonese Opera Art Museum, Guangdong Museum, and Canton Tower in Guangzhou, as well as the Clock Tower in Hong Kong.

This was the outdoor activity of the 2024 Youth Music Culture The Greater Bay Area (YMCG), featuring over 80 young musicians from more than 50 music conservatories and 16 professional orchestras around the world.

With different forms of compositions, these young musicians performed classical masterpieces by musicians such as Paul Dukas, Ludwig van Beethoven, and George Frideric Handel, integrating Western classical masterpieces into GBA's landmarks and historical culture. Meanwhile, they also presented the symphonic version of Below the Lion Rock, a famous Cantonese song in Hong Kong.
