The 135th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is right around the corner. This event will be divided into three phases. The first phase will focus on a variety of industrial materials, falling into eleven categories such as consumer electronics and information products, household electrical appliances, new materials and chemicals, as well as new energy resources, covering 20 exhibition sections. Guangzhou kicks off annual investment conference, gearing up for Canton Fair
"Guangzhou boasts many top-notch sci-tech talent and has active market demand, providing equal and enormous development opportunities for foreign and domestic companies," said Mr. Lee Hyuk Joon, Vice President and President of Hyundai Motor Corporation in China, South Korea, in his keynote speech at the 10th Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference China. Centering around the theme "Investing in Guangzhou is Investing in the Future," the Conference was held from April 8 to 9 at the Canton Fair Convention Center, serving as a warm-up activity for the upcoming 135th session of Canton Fair, which is scheduled to be held on April 15.
Guangzhou Customs unveils 18 facilitating measures for the Canton Fair
The 135th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is scheduled to open in Guangzhou in three phases from April 15th to May 5th. On April 9th, Guangzhou Customs released the "Facilitating Measures of Guangzhou Customs to Support the 135th China Import and Export Fair in 2024" (simply referred to as Facilitating Measures) and the "Customs Clearance Guidelines of Guangzhou Customs for the 135th China Import and Export Fair in 2024" (simply referred to as Customs Clearance Guidelines), aiming to enhance the efficiency and quality of customs clearance supervision and services for the upcoming event.
144-hour visa-free transit offered for international travelers during 135th Canton Fair
The 135th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5. Preliminary data shows that a total of 93,000 overseas buyers from 215 countries and regions have registered for the fair. Nationals from 54 countries who meet the policy requirements and hold a connecting ticket to a third country (region) with a fixed date and seat within 144 hours can apply for visa-free transit in Guangdong. Baiyun Airport provides more convenience for 135th Canton Fair overseas buyers
Guangzhou has issued a series of measures to facilitate entry at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport for overseas buyers attending the 135th Canton Fair, which will open on April 15, including optimize the visa service, customs clearance and payment process. Let's click the video to find more.
China Southern operates over 16,000 flights to fully support the 135th Canton Fair
The 135th Canton Fair will be held from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou. Starting from April 14, China Southern Airlines will add more domestic and international flights to meet the travel demand during the fair. To better serve global buyers and visitors to the Canton Fair, China Southern Airlines will open multiple international routes from April 22. For instance, there will be four return flights from Guangzhou to Doha (the capital of Qatar) every week. And from April 24, the Guangzhou-Shenyang-Frankfurt route will add another round trip on a weekly basis.
