The 135th Canton Fair will be held from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou. Starting from April 14, China Southern Airlines will add more domestic and international flights to meet the travel demand during the fair.
To better serve global buyers and visitors to the Canton Fair, China Southern Airlines will open multiple international routes from April 22. For instance, there will be four return flights from Guangzhou to Doha (the capital of Qatar) every week. And from April 24, the Guangzhou-Shenyang-Frankfurt route will add another round trip on a weekly basis.
During the new summer season, the airline has already increased flights from Guangzhou to Moscow, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Osaka. In April, more flights will also be added from Guangzhou to Dubai, Nha Trang (Vietnam), and Manila. By then, the daily international flights from Guangzhou to other countries and regions will reach 120.
Regarding the popular routes of the Canton Fair domestically, the airline will add another 118 return flights from Guangzhou to Taizhou (Zhejiang province), Changzhou (Jiangsu province), Nantong (Jiangsu province), and Yiwu (Zhejiang province). More than 300 domestic flights from Guangzhou to popular destinations like Ningbo, Hefei, Wuxi, and Nanjiang will be undertaken by wide-bodied airplanes, adding a total of 40,000 seats.
Additionally, the ground service team for the Canton Fair has been set up to ensure smooth exit and entry procedures. Starting from March 28, a special service sign for the Canton Fair has been placed at the P32 check-in counter of T2.
During the fair, China Southern Airlines will also set up a comprehensive service counter at the B Area to facilitate on-site printing of boarding passes, seat selection, flight information inquiries, and luggage check-in for domestic flights.
There will be a large number of passengers during the Canton Fair. It is suggested that passengers make appropriate travel plans and arrive at the airport at least two hours in advance to complete the check-in procedures.
