Under the impact of typhoon Nalgae and upper trough, cloudy skies with rain will be the main weather pattern for Guangdong on November 2 and 3. The coastal areas of the southern parts of the province are likely to experience heavy rain and localized torrential rain with possible fresh gales, according to Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.

At 14:00 Wednesday, Nalgae’s center was about 260 kilometers east by south of Jiangmen's Taishan, proceeding towards the ocean surface of central-western Guangdong with intensity gradually declining. It may make landfall in coastal areas from Zhuhai to Maoming Thursday morning, or weaken and disappear before reaching land.
Childcare institutions, primary and middle schools in Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Taishan have been suspended.
On November 3, western parts of the Pearl River Estuary are to experience moderate to heavy rain, with localized torrential rain. Other areas will see cloudy skies with small to moderate rain.
On November 4, moderate rain with localized heavy rain is predicted for Western Guangdong and the western parts of the Pearl River Estuary. Overcast skies with cloudy periods and scattered showers are forecast for the rest of the province.
From November 5 to 6, most parts of the province will embrace a cloudy day with scattered showers.
