The ballet The Legend of the White Snake, originally created by the Guangzhou Ballet, will make its debut at the Guangzhou Opera House on July 12 and 13. Afterward, this ballet production will start its national tour on August 5 and 6 at the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center.

The brand-new ballet work is inspired by one of the most well-known folktales in China about a white snake named Bai Suzhen, who transforms into a beautiful woman, and her romance with her husband Xu Xian.

Director Wang Ge, an award-winning choreographer, combined elements of classical ballet and traditional Chinese dance, as well as utilized artistic expression means of sketch shows and puppet shows. Furthermore, the show will add new characters and dramatic reversals, impressing audiences anew.
