Japan has started sending seawater into an underwater tunnel built to release nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, local media recently reported.
The radioactive elements in the marine fish caught in the harbor of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant far exceed safety levels for human consumption, according to a report issued by the plant's operator Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) on June 5.
