Lighting poles with flower-street and Asian Games patterns

Bejing Lu is likely to be an ocean of flowers, with flower patterns around every corner, even on lighting poles and electric cabinets. It was recently learned from the Yuexiu District on Dec. 15th that by the time when spring came and flowers bloomed next year, Beijing Lu and its surrounding areas would have been declared an all-year-round flower street. Jiaoyu Lu and the Xihu Lu sections have been under construction, and the project is expected to be finished before Jan. 21st next year.

There are five entrances to the Yanyun West Community of Jiaoyu Lu, where the Lingnan-styled gateway arches will be built with typical Cantonese architectural symbols such as wok-handle-shaped walls, dragon-boat like ridges and oystershell-made walls, etc, all embodying elements of their Lingnan architectural heritage with their colors, materials and craftsmanship. Besides, overhang buildings on Danan Lu will also be renovated to restore them to their original look and to rejuvenate the charms of the Nanyang overhang buildings.

The project also includes setting up direction signs with Cantonese architectural characteristics near historical and cultural relic architectures in the district. Such site as the remains of the Xihan Water Dam and the Well of Running Water and the Classic School historical areas, etc, will be investigated and presented.
