The Flag and Mascots of the 16th Asian Games reached the top of Mount Everestwith a group of mountain climbing lovers from Guangzhou, the host city for the Games.

"As a Guangzhou citizen, I am also looking for a way to show my passion and support for the Guangzhou Asian Games, though I am not a volunteer. Therefore, I decide to carry the Flag and Mascots of the 16th Asian Games to ascend Everest," said Huang Zonghua, one of mountain climbing lovers.

The journey was expected to be one kind of best wishes for the Guangzhou Asian Games in May of the world's highest mountain, Everest, which straddles the border between the Tibetan Autonomous Region of Chinaand Nepal.

Huang Zonghua takes the Mascots with him on the way to the top of Mount Everest.

Huang Zonghua, 38 years old, has been working and living in Guangzhou for more than ten years andshares a strong bondwith the Guangzhou city. "There are promotions for the Guangzhou Asian Games everywhere in the city, especially for the volunteering campaign. And I guess I shall do my bit for it and it would be exciting to show the Flag and Mascots of the Asian Games on Everest," he added.
