Ice-snow tourism stands out in Guangdong during this holiday
It is worth mentioning that because of the influence of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, people's passion for ice and snow tourism has been stronger than ever. Ice-snow tourism has become a new highlight of the Spring Festival tourism in Guangdong this year. It's reported that Guangzhou is listed in the most popular cities for ice and snow tourism in China.
During the Chinese New Year holiday, Guangzhou held an "ice and snow sports carnival", launching a series of activities combining Lingnan culture with winter sports, such as lion dance and Hanfu skiing show. Guangzhou Sunac Land held curling and sledding competitions. Ice hockey club, skating rink, and ski resort of Shenzhen Window of the World also opened, so that the public can experience ice and snow sports in southern China.
In addition, cultural entertainment was still widely favored in Guangdong during the holiday. Reading books in libraries, visiting cultural relics in museums and seeing art exhibitions in galleries have become the first choice for many families' tours. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province launched a series of online and offline activities with local cities, and people can enjoy travel, exhibitions and operas both at home or outdoors.

Guangzhou organized more than 600 cultural and tourism activities
Due to the COVID-19 resurgence in China, people are suggested to stay put during the holiday. Guangzhou organized around 600 cultural and tourism activities to give people here a full sense of the Cantonese-style New Year's vibes. From January 31 to February 6, the city received more than 7.7 million tourists, contributing nearly 5.5 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
The 17 museums in Guangzhou held 166 exhibitions and themed activities and received 146,800 visits, while the 11 red cultural scenic spots had 112,800 tourist arrivals, according to the statistic.
