Before the Chinese New Year holiday, GDToday launched an online prize-winning activity to solicit readers' CNY stories in Guangdong and received many entries. Many thanks to the participants for sharing your unique stories with us via photos or videos. Here are some of the entries:
Rafael has already been living in China for 7 years. He spent a wonderful time with his family during the Chinese New Year in Heyuan, in the north of Guangdong province. They decorated their house with new year’s goods and enjoyed delicious dishes to welcome the Year of the Tiger.

These are the photos sent by Syam and Qaisar, both of whom are international students from Shenzhen University. The university arranged some activities for the students who stayed in the campus during the holiday, and teachers visited international students and gifted them snacks and fruits. Syam and Qaisar participated in activities including writing calligraphy and Spring festival couplets, making Spring Festival lanterns, as well as eating hotpot and dumplings. Qaisar also made a Vlog recording his new year celebration with his family and friends.

Meryl and Gordon Dingwall from South Africa had a wonderful Spring Festival celebration with their friend May and her family together in the Shawan Ancient Town in Panyu District, Guangzhou. They felt warm that they were invited to join May's family dinner and welcomed by them.

Vakulishyna Victoria from Ukraine, a chorus conducting expert from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, made dumplings with her family and friends in Guangzhou, learned the New Year gesture dance and tried the traditional Chinese tea art.
Xie Lixia shared a unique Chinese New Year in Shunde, Foshan. Xie pointed out that Guangdong is full of festive vibes and kindness.
Xie Zhenwei enjoyed a lovely New Year's dinner with his family and made a Vlog to record the warm moment.
May visited a children's painting exhibition themed Beijing Winter Olympics at the Guangzhou Children's Park and was impressed by kids' enthusiasm for the Winter Olympics.

Tamas and his family spent wonderful days in Guangzhou during this festival. His wife made pretty Chinese red color clothes with nice Chinese patterns for their three children. They had various holiday activities including enjoying the hot springs in Zengcheng, visiting Liantang village, and tasting the Chinese dim sum.

Neil Stevens and his family live in Zhuhai. During the Spring Festival, they had a homemade hot pot for the main CNY meal and ordered a special CNY cake to celebrate the festival.

Michelle enjoyed a new year's breakfast at the hotel to celebrate the festival alone. Hotel staff sent her a special New Year greeting.

Giulia watched a spectacular Chinese New Year drone show from the 107th floor in Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou.

Fu Lingyan took many photos to showcase the happy Spring Festival vibes at the Yuyin Shanfang Ancient Garden in Panyu District, Guangzhou.

Sarah traveled to Chaozhou and Shenzhen during the CNY holiday and visited some antique scenic spots, such as Paifang Street and Guangji Bridge in Chaozhou.
Jianmei and her family enjoyed Cantonese dim sum, wrote Fai Chun (Spring Festival couplets) and visited the zoo to see the tigers during the Spring Festival holiday.

Nina visited a flower exhibition at the South China Botanical Garden in Guangzhou and decorated her house with exquisite paper cuttings. She also received many red envelopes from her family and colleagues.

During the Chinese New Year, Fung decorated her home with many beautiful, festive flowers, tangerine, and lanterns.
