A destination to enjoy GZ's intangible cultural heritages starts June 11

June 11 marks this year's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. The Beijing Road Pedestrian Street will provide you with abundant themed activities from June 11, come and have fun with the local intangible cultural heritage items!

On the street, you will have a close glimpse into 42 items which are included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity proposed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Moreover, you will have an opportunity to experience 12 items from Yuexiu District, which are listed as the national-level intangible cultural heritages, such as Guangzhou paper-cutting, dim sum, Spring Festival flower fair and the Cantonese Opera costumes.


An exhibition area will be set to reproduce the historical scene of the Nanyue King's Palace, and there will also be a flower fair allowing you to take photos.

Walking along the street featuring local intangible cultural heritages, you will see a row of 1,200-meter-long Qilou, a kind of arcade building commonly found in Guangzhou, standing along the Zhongshan 4th Road.
