Discover a romantic heart-shaped island in Guangzhou

Are you looking for something romantic this summer? What about a special experience for you and your loved one? Maybe a trip to the heart-shaped island in Guangzhou’s Baiyun District would do the trick!

The small island, nicknamed Love Island, was originally agricultural land for fish ponds. It was transformed by a Guangdong agricultural technology company into a scenic spot and a live broadcast base for Internet celebrities. Since then, its popularity has been growing as it officially opened in early July for free. The unique shape has attracted flocks of couples and families.

Besides the low vegetation that grows on the island, tourists can camp, fish, or just enjoy the tranquil and the occasional singing of birds. The sunset glow will tint the sky red. Visitors can even watch planes take off and climb until they disappear behind clouds. Chitchatting or walking in the breeze will make a pleasing night.

Recently, the island has been full to the brim of car boot sales, offering great spots in which to hunt for bargains, local snacks and a variety of interesting gadgets. Many villagers will also set up roadside booths or food stalls on the streets over the weekend, selling fruit juice or barbecues.

In mid-August, some entertainment venues near the island, including a beach park, fruit picking gardens, and a small agricultural product museum, will be opened.

Venue: Suiyun Modern Farm (穗云现代都市农园)

Add.: No. 38 Nongchang Road, Hutang Village, Zhongluotan Town, Baiyun District, Guangzhou (广州市白云区钟落潭镇虎塘村农场路38号)
