Fresh chicken soup is ready to serve after 10min boiling

"We just need to add some salt and water to boil the chicken soup, so the pre-made dishes are actually instant food." Liu Cong, the food research and development manager of Tinoo, explained to Choi Yoon Sun.

All the ingredients to make the pre-prepared chicken soup have been included in the package, and there is no need to make additional sauces. After being boiled for ten minutes, a pot of chicken soup is ready to serve.

"With the help of RCEP, we work to further popularize pre-made Guangdong cuisines by developing more products, in the hope that more people around the world can enjoy the delicacies as instantly as possible," Liu introduced.

Technologies empower pre-made Guangdong cuisine to go further

To make a pot of delicious chicken soup, fresh chicken is indispensable.

Choi Yoon Sun was also shown around the food processing workshop in Tinoo, where the workers made full use of the automated assembly lines to produce pre-made chicken packages.

"Fresh Qingyuan chicken from Tinoo can be kept fresh for 6 days with modified atmosphere packaging, while the frozen chicken can be kept for 12 months in liquid nitrogen freezers," Liu Cong noted.

Up to now, Guangdong-based pre-made cuisine enterprises have developed a series of pre-made products, such as boiled chicken, boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili, as well as Chaozhou beef balls, all of which have gained great popularity worldwide. In 2022, Guangdong had exported 834,000 tons of pre-made delicacies, worth 31.04 billion RMB.

On July 25, a promotion activity featuring Guangdong's agricultural products kicked off in South Korea, inviting representatives of food companies in South Korea and professional foodies to taste pre-made Guangdong cuisines. The event provided the companies with a platform to have further cooperation with Guangdong-based enterprises so that pre-made Guangdong cuisines can serve more local consumers in South Korea.
