Since its opening on August 18, 2020, the Hengqin Port has facilitated over 48 million crossings and 5.88 million vehicle entries, with annual growth rates of approximately 62.2% and 40.4%. This year alone, daily records have surged to over 86,000 passengers and 7,200 vehicles, doubling the averages of four years ago.
The convenience of Hengqin Port is transforming the lifestyle of Macao residents, with increasing demand for property, business, and leisure in the area. It is estimated that the total passenger traffic will exceed 20 million and vehicle traffic will surpass 2 million this year, highlighting the port's growing role in supporting the rapid integration of Hengqin and Macao.
