Falling around July 7th, Lesser Heat, the 11th of the 24 Chinese solar terms, signifies that the hottest period of the year is coming. As increasing heat becomes overwhelming, everything will have to try to stay cool and safe in heat waves during this period.
The host, Vivian Ma invites a friend from afar, Mr. Frederico Meyer, Consul General of Brazil in Guangzhou to Nansha Wetland Park which is in Guangzhou, presenting him with the summer dessert Qing Bu Liang. They talk about biodiversity between the two countries, discuss Chinese wisdom “quiet the mind to keep cool” and enjoy the inner peace on this summer day.
Mr. Meyer has said that home is actually the place where he feels most at peace. In return, Mr. Meyer invites Vivian to visit his home, where he displayed various collections, and makes a Brazilian dish Moqueca to share the taste of Brazil. They talk about China-Brazil cultural and economic exchanges.
China and Brazil, both members of the BRICS that love peace, are working together to uphold the theme of the era of “peace and development” though thousands of miles away from each other. No matter how the times change, the two countries will continue to be peaceful and inclusive and forge ahead as always.
