The second session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress concluded on Thursday (January 25). The plan to develop five city clusters was included in the work report of the Guangdong government for the first time.
The five city clusters contain Guangzhou, Shenzhen, the west coast of the Pearl River Estuary, Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang, and Zhanjiang-Maoming.

What is the significance of developing the city clusters? As ensuring the dominance of the manufacturing industry has been included in the work report of Guangdong government for two consecutive years, how will the development of five city clusters influence the manufacturing industry?
