Nanshe Village, located in Chashan Town, Dongguan City, is one of the largest existing ancient villages tracing back to the Ming and Qing dynasty in China, with over 800 years of history and more than 250 ancient residential dwellings.
Recently, foreign social media influencer Avril was drawn to Nanshe Ancient Village and traveled to Dongguan to experience the scenery, folkways, cuisines, and cultures of the ancient village.
Avril experienced in the trip the village's intangible cultural heritages,including Chashan Chouyi Denggong, the Xie Ancestral Hall, the renowned "Jiudagui" local delicacies, and the traditional tea garden festivals. Dongguan's efforts in preserving and promoting its ancient villages have left the foreign influencer a deep impression.
