Guangzhou Airport's facilitating services praised by Canton Fair overseas attendees

In line with the commencement of the 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) in Guangzhou on April 15th, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has improved its services such as customs clearance, free application for badges, and multilingual services to cater to the influx of international attendees. Foreign visitors express their satisfaction, praising the convenience and efficiency of the airport's offerings.

Recognizing the importance of seamless travel experiences, Baiyun Airport has implemented various initiatives to facilitate the arrival and departure of participants. Among these efforts is implementing a 144-hour visa-free transit policy, benefiting travelers from 54 countries.

Tan Feng, deputy director of the 14th Duty Team Baiyun Immigration Inspection Station, told GDToday that they have introduced convenient solutions such as dedicated clearance channels exclusively for the Canton Fair, ensuring swift clearance for vehicles carrying import and export exhibits.

"We established service teams proficient in 13 languages, including French, Russian, and Arabic, to facilitate seamless communication and ensure smoother customs clearance procedures," added Tan.

Moreover, the airport has expanded its services to include four dedicated points for international buyers to gain badges upon arrival. This enhancement reflects the airport's commitment to providing comprehensive support to all participants.

In response to the growing prevalence of mobile payment methods, the airport now offers assistance in setting up mobile payment services, enabling overseas visitors to utilize platforms such as WeChat Pay and Alipay during their stay in China.

Furthermore, the airport has provided multilingual posters and videos about information services produced by GDToday in luggage halls, VIP rooms, and departure halls for domestic and international passengers, making sure the overseas attendees can get information about Canton Fair and Guangdong once they land at the airport.
