As Guangdong's dragon boat races caused quite a stir throughout the country during the Dragon Boat Festival, "Loong," a dance drama about the dragon boat race, was staged at Guangdong Friendship Theatre on June 15 and June 16.
Chen Liumei, a 67-year-old dragon boat player from the city of Dongguan, indicated that courage is the primary requirement for participating in dragon boat races. She said she always feels excited when playing the dragon boat.
