Qiu Fengjia, a patriotic poet and educator, was one of the leaders of the 1895 military resistance against Japanese aggression during the late Qing Dynasty.
He was hailed as the "Dongning Talent", who connected the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and spent his life advocating for "strengthening the country through education".
