Guangdong delegation brings warmth to over 200 journalists during China's "two sessions"

The Guangdong delegation of deputies to the National People's Congress held an open day event on March 6, drawing over 260 journalists from home and abroad. The event provided an opportunity for journalists to listen, ask questions, and gain firsthand insight into the policymaking process.

Beyond taking questions from the press, the delegation also offered a literal taste of Guangdong—treating attendees to classic Cantonese snacks, specialty drinks, and thoughtful hospitality. While many journalists may have never been to Guangdong, they got to experience a piece of the province, both in flavor and spirit.

"I believe Guangdong will remain the driving force of China's economy in the future—there's no doubt about it. Especially in research and development, the province is sure to make remarkable progress," said Gao Jin, editor-in-chief of Euro Chinese Daily, at the event.
