The early blooming cherry blossoms in the South China Agricultural University (SCAU) have already embraced their first bloom of the year, and are expected to reach their peak bloom between mid-February and early March.
Cherry blossoms within the campus are mainly subtropical varieties such as Hanfei cherry, Chinese red cherry, Guangzhou cherry, and Fujian Mountain cherry.
With a green coverage rate exceeding 90%, SCAU is famous for its natural scenery. Other than cherry blossoms, it also has many other landscape plants, such as Bauhinia and golden trumpet trees.
