Traditional Chinese Medicine ice cream? Foreigner marvels at cultural fair in Shenzhen

"Although I have never visited many places in China, my trip to the ICIF felt like traversing the entire land of China!" said Tim Ramak, an Australian friend living in Shenzhen for many years.

From May 23rd to 27th, the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (commonly known as "ICIF") was held in Shenzhen with great pomp. Tim Ramak participated in this event as a video creator for Nanfang Plus for the first time.

For Tim, the ICIF was undoubtedly a "cultural feast" - without leaving Shenzhen's Bao'an District, he was able to immerse himself in cultural treasures from various provinces and regions across China, and even caught a glimpse of cultural exhibitions from countries around the world, offering a breathtaking experience.

"The most unforgettable part was tasting the traditional Chinese medicine ice cream from Harbin. I chose the ginger flavor because ginger has many benefits for the body. Surprisingly, it had a silky smooth texture and excellent taste!" Tim shared excitedly after the visit.

Moreover, the fusion of high-tech and traditional culture at the ICIF fascinated him. In one exhibition hall, he encountered a robot "Dragon King" that could interact with people. "I heard that in ancient Chinese legends, the Dragon King controls the weather. It was raining heavily outside, so I tried to talk to it to see if it could stop the rain. Unfortunately, it only understands Chinese, not English," Tim said humorously.

"It was a truly marvelous day!" Tim strongly recommends foreign friends to experience the cultural charm of China and the world here, and even locals should not miss it. With the soon opening of the "Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge," residents of Zhongshan and surrounding cities will find it more convenient to visit Shenzhen and participate in such world-class exhibitions.
