September 29 is the Mid-Autumn Festival, while the 19th Asian Games is in progress in the city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
The Athletes Village of the Asian Games held a series of activities for the athletes to enjoy the happiness brought by the festival, including making work of intangible cultural heritage, performance and garden party.
NADA MIR is an athletes from Qatar. She made a postcard with “喜悦” (means happiness), through an intangible cultural heritage techniques called frottage paint.
“I guess it means happiness and I feel happiness is very important to me and people around the world,” said NADA MIR. “I am going to go around to other activities like games and stuff that you guys have.”
After hearing the introduction of Mid-Autumn Festival from GDToday reporter, she felt excited, saying, “I’ve been walking around the athlete village and everyone stay together like a big happy community. ”
She stressed that the community makes her so happy and refreshing.
MASOOD ALI is a coach of Pakistan’s table tennis team. He was enjoying the garden party through wearing Han Chinese Clothing. “It is very beautiful dress and I'm feeling very comfortable after wearing this dress. ”
“Mid-Autumn Festival is a very nice festival and I’m happy to meet it,” said he.
In his opinion, he thinks Chinese culture not only has long history, but also has positive core value. He told GDToday with an example, saying, “whenever I went in the Hangzhou city, people welcome us full-heartedly. I’m very thankful to Hangzhou and Chinese people.”
