The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area | Episode 3: The City of the Future (Part II)

The undertakings of breaking barriers and establishing connections, such as building Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, are in full swing. In the future, the “One-Hour Commuting Circle” will closely connect the 11 cities across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) as shoelaces do. Infrastructure aside, in the GBA, institutional innovation, talent mobility, and talent pooling will bring more opportunities to the area. Supercomputers and advanced network technologies have helped to build a digital twin bay area, which has breached the limits in terms of geography, administrative jurisdiction, as well as rules and regulations, connecting the 11 cities in the GBA more closely. Jointly developing the GBA culture gives a soul to the GBA, enabling everyone who comes to the cities to feel a sense of belonging. The GBA is dedicated to breaking barriers, overcoming obstructions, and building new forms of cities, which makes it a wonderful homeland for more and more people.
