Today (Sept. 17, 2024), the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, is the Mid-Autumn Festival, a celebration that focuses on the moon. From ancient times, it has been customary for Chinese people to reunite with family members and enjoy a sweet mooncake while observing the beautiful moon.
Alysa Kees, known as "Qi Shiwen" in China, is a vlogger and founder of a consulting company in Guangzhou. Kees has been living in Guangzhou since 1999. On Sept. 13, Kees joined GDToday's mooncake-making workshop at the LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou with locals and expats.
How does Kees celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival after living in China for 25 years? What are the basic things related to the festival from her perspective? Watch this video to find out more about Kees' take on the Mid-Autumn Festival.
And hopefully, this could also trigger your memories of the festival. Please do not hesitate to share them with us in the comment area.
