In 1998, Wu Weili went to study in Germany. In a stack of old papers, he found an old book titled “Ein Sommer in China” by Paul Goldmann, a journalist of the “Frankfurter Zeitung”, who wrote this book after visiting and conducting interviews in China over 100 years ago. Wu Weili spent ten years translating it from old German to modern German and then into Chinese, making it available for publication in both China and Germany.
