GDToday Shantou Channel launched to tell compelling stories about Shantou's development

The GDToday Shantou Channel was officially launched on October 30, 2024.

As the first GDToday city channel in eastern Guangdong established by Nanfang Media Group, this new platform will focus on the priorities of Shantou city. Managed by a professional bilingual (Chinese and English) team, the channel will highlight major events and projects in Shantou while enhancing the city's global communication efforts. The goal is to make the GDToday Shantou Channel a key window to present Shantou's voice and image on the world stage.

GDToday is a media outlet under the Nanfang Media Group, dedicated to international communication. As Guangdong's leading platform for international communication and the primary source for the world to learn about the province, GDToday offers accurate and timely news reports as well as a wide range of audio-visual services in English, Portuguese, French, and other foreign languages, along with Cantonese and other dialects. In addition, GDToday organizes cultural activities to share China's stories, especially those of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangdong. Serving as a bridge connecting China with the rest of the world, GDToday has established a global communication network, attracting nearly 20 million users worldwide.

From November 18 to November 20, Shantou will host the 22nd Teochew International Convention and the 10th World Chaoshan Entrepreneurs Convention.
