Former PM of Finland: Reform and opening-up policy creates competitive technologies in global market

Themed "Multilateralism: More Exchanges, Greater Inclusiveness and Cooperation," the 2023 Imperial Springs International Forum (ISIF) is taking place in Guangzhou, the capital city of South China's Guangdong province, from December 3 to 5.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up.
"I think that the development of Guangdong province is a good example of how well China has succeeded in its opening-up policy. It has been able to create technologies that are competitive in the global market," said Esko Aho, former Prime Minister of Finland.
In his opinion, Finland and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) are strong in the field of technology, especially in renewable energy sources. He said, "Finland is a big player in the bio-economy, and China has a lot of interest in working with a country like Finland to obtain sustainable products for construction, as well as consumption."
