Hassan Sunny says he'll play for Chinese football clubs if given opportunity

Singapore goalkeeper Hassan Sunny made a dozen key saves on the night of June 11 during Singapore's match against Thailand, which allowed Team China to escape elimination from the qualifier of the 2026 FIFA World Cup by a narrow margin.

After the match, many Chinese soccer fans hailed Sunny as a hero and flocked to his food stall in Singapore to order food. Some even sent money to Sunny through the QR code at the stall.

In an interview with Lianhe Zaobao, Sunny said he will donate the money received from Chinese fans, and he will consider working for Chinese football clubs if he is offered the opportunity.
